Nine Officer at CMAC Infected with COVID-19
Phnom Penh (MGO) - Mr. Heng Ratana, the Director-General of the Cambodian Mine Action Center (CMAC), stated that the CMAC unit is no different from other frontline forces in daily work, of July 22, 2021, nine officials have been infected with Covid-19, including in Battambang province, Phnom Penh and Preah Vihear province.
He added that the CMAC unit has set up teams to fight with Covid-19, which are responsible for managing and monitoring issues related to the officers in the unit effectively and have prepared and implemented a strategic plan in advance to deal with the case of Covid-19 infection in forces, in order to maintain the normal operation, even if some forces are affected.
These strategies include the separation of operational forces into separate geographical divisions, division of operational shifts, reduction of mobility, electronic force control mechanisms ..., in case of doubt, take all possible rapid test measures involves the separation of forces to live in isolation and so on. Etc. These strategies are difficult but must learn to live and operate under the threat of the Covid-19, especially the "3 DO and 3 DO NOT" is a backbone of the tactics to fight with Covid-19.
At the same time, he thanked Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, for providing vaccines for CMAC frontline officials in the priority case and helping to protect the lives of all officials from a serious illness. He added that all officials who were infected also received a donation from Samdech Techo, including 5kg of Rice, Noodles and 400,000 Riels, as well as aid from the king have 50 kg of Rice, Noodles, Fish can and a budget of 200,000 riels to support livelihood. In the meantime, the unit maintains all monthly allowances as usual during treatment and recovery.
