H.E. Kuoch Chamroeun inspects the Preah Sihanouk Province's First Treatment Plant
Sihanoukville (MGO) - HE Kuoch Chamroeun, Governor of Preah Sihanouk Province, led relevant officials to inspect the location of the first treatment plant (PS1) in Muoy Village, Bei District, Sihanoukville Municipality, Preah Sihanouk Province on Tuesday morning, September 14th, 2021, to verify the effectiveness of wastewater treatment before discharging into the sea. The first treatment plant (PS1) can treat 5,200 cubic meters of wastewater per day, while the second treatment plant (PS2) can treat 7,200 cubic meters of wastewater per day.
Following that, HE Governor examined the wastewater treatment plant at the end of Ochheuteal Beach in Buon District, Sihanoukville Municipality, and directed the Provincial Department of Public Works and Transport to submit a proposal to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport to build a bridge taller and longer so that the water in the reservoir may flow quicker during the rainy season, reducing floods in Sihanoukville. It should be noted that this wastewater treatment plant has now been successfully run to filter wastewater and convert it into water that does not harm the environment or the sea's biodiversity.
