COVID-19: 629 New Cases Report Today While 422 New Recoveries
Phnom Penh - The tally of COVID-19 in Cambodia increased to 100,133 this morning with the detection of 629 new cases, according to a press release of the Ministry of Health. Among the new infections, 113 were imported and the rest were linked to the Feb. 20 community outbreak, it added.
Besides, it pointed out, 422 new recoveries and 9 new deaths were recorded; bringing the total cured and death cases in the Kingdom to 94,326 and 2,049, respectively.
The first COVID-19 case was reported in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 incident.
