141 of the monks and the people living in pagodas found positive with Covid-19
Phnom Penh (MGO) – After tested samples of monks and people living in pagoda throughout Phnom Penh, Senior Officers of the Department of Cult and Religion to Phnom Penh said the Covid-19 tested result for the monks and the people living in pagoda has shown that 141 out of 8928 monks found positive with Covid-19.
The Director of the Department of Cult and Religion of Phnom Penh said recently monks and committee of archbishop and students staying at pagodas in Phnom Penh have took the Covid-19 test, there were 141 positive with Covid-19, including 97 monks, 9 Archbishop, 15 nuns and 20 students.
Tep Kongkea confirmed that there are 154 pagodas in Phnom Penh, but now 150 pagodas that have been sampled for Covid 19 virus, while the other 4 pagodas have some of which have already been sampled and some of which have been able to sample themselves.
Please noted that Samdech Techo Hun Sen, the Prime Minister of Cambodia, announced that the medical team took samples from the pagoda in Phnom Penh and found that almost half of the total pagoda in Phnom Penh is infected by Covid -19.
